Tasting Notes: Tangerine, Apple, Pear, Peach 

A 2024 Good Food Finalist, this fruit-forward coffee, from the high hills of Jinotega, Nicaragua, is grown by one of our long-time farming partner, Blanca Nieve. Bursting with natural notes of peach, tangerine, apple, and pear. 

Because Blanca's farm, El Diamante (The Diamond) is located so high in the mountains, it benefits from a longer growing cycle which means their beans have a slower maturity allowing for the development of more complex coffees. In addition, part of their land is a natural forest with a number of fresh, mountain springs used to wash the coffee.

Having brought in their coffee for more than 6 years, we are always impressed by the consistency and quality of what this family grows. This years harvest is fresh, clean and fruity and will delight our long-time customers who look forward to their new harvests as much as we do.

Blanca Nieve is part of the Gold Mountain Coffee Growers in Nicaragua, a direct trade social enterprise connecting farmers of high-cupping specialty coffee to roasters such as ourselves.
